Stories Worth Telling
Some stories don't ask for your attention. They demand it.
An independent film production company built on craft, character, and conviction.
Every film we make begins with something true — a feeling, a fracture, a question that doesn't have a clean answer. We don't chase trends.
We chase the kind of storytelling that stays with you on the drive home, at the dinner table, at 2 a.m. when you can't sleep and suddenly understand what you felt. This is Writerz Block Productions. This is independent cinema made with intention.
Short Film 1 -
Queen of Hearts
Logline:
A woman unravels the hidden architecture of a love she thought she knew and must decide what truth is worth.
Description
Some losses arrive all at once. Others arrive slowly, in layers, long after you thought the worst had passed. Queen of Hearts follows one woman's quiet, determined search for the truth beneath a life shaped by love, deception, and grief. It is a film about what we protect, what we inherit, and what we are finally willing to face. Shot with intimate, deliberate cinematography, the film draws its power from restraint — from what is almost said, almost shown, almost understood.
Short Film 2- Voicemails
Logline:
He had everything except the one conversation that would have changed his life. You never realize how much someone wanted to say… until it's too late.
Description:
Alone in an Airbnb with nothing but a box of belongings and the silence of someone who is no longer there to fill it. Dee begins sorting through what was left behind — searching for closure, finding a phone instead. And on that phone: voicemails. Messages his father recorded for him over the years. Messages that were never sent.
Dee is the youngest General Manager in the NBA. By every measurable standard, he has won. But the day he returns from burying his estranged father, none of that counts for anything.
Voicemails is the story of what happens in that room, in those hours, as a son hears for the first time the voice of a man he thought he'd already lost. It is a film about grief that doesn't look like grief. About the love between fathers and sons that lives in the space between what was said and what was meant. About the unbearable tenderness of being forgiven by someone who is no longer alive to forgive you.
PROJECT 3 — BUILDING THE BLOCK
Building the Block is a documentary that captures the evolution of vision, work, and community. It reflects on where the journey began, documents the present moment, and explores the foundation being built for the future. Through grounded storytelling and real-world perspective, the film honors progress not as a destination, but as a continuous act of construction.
